Is the story really unique to my child?
Yes — every FableBean story is written from scratch around the details you give us: your child's name, age, personality and interests. It's not a template with the name dropped in; no two books are the same.
Will the illustrations look like my child?
If you upload a photo, we use it to guide the illustrations so the character resembles your child across every page. Prefer not to share a photo? Choose an illustrated character and describe their features instead.
How long does delivery take?
Printed books arrive in about 5–7 business days in the UK. Your digital book is ready to download as soon as you approve it.
What if I'm not happy with the story?
You preview the whole story for free before you pay, and you get free edits to fine-tune the words and pictures. If something still isn't right, just get in touch — we want you to love it.
What ages is it suitable for?
We create books for newborns right through to age 12. The story length, language and illustrations are all tailored to the age you choose.
Is my child's photo and data safe?
Your photo is used only to guide your child’s illustrations and is never shared or sold. We’re a UK business and handle your data in line with UK GDPR — see our Privacy Policy for the details.
How does it work?
It takes about three minutes. Tell us about your child, choose an art style and theme, and we create the full story and illustrations. You preview the whole book for free, then order a digital or printed copy if you love it.
Can I preview the book before I pay?
Yes — always. You see the complete story and illustrations for free, and you only pay if you're happy with it. There's no risk in trying.
What formats can I order?
A digital book to download, a softcover, or a premium hardcover keepsake (20×20cm) — or the Complete Bundle with all three. Every printed order includes the digital version free.
Can I change the story or the pictures?
Yes. During your review you get free edits to tweak the words, plus edit tokens to regenerate any illustration you'd like to change, before you approve it for printing.
Do I have to upload a photo?
No. Upload a photo and we'll shape the character to resemble your child, or skip it and choose an illustrated character described in your own words — both make a beautiful book.
Where do you deliver?
We currently ship printed books across the UK, US and Canada. Digital books can be downloaded anywhere.
Can I buy one as a gift?
Yes — send a personalised book as a gift, or a gift card, and the recipient creates it themselves. Perfect for birthdays, a new baby, Christmas, Eid, Diwali and more.
