Questions
Is every book really one of a kind?
Yes. It isn’t a template with a name dropped in. Every story is written new from what you tell us, so the plot, the funny moments and the ending are built around them. Two children with the same name and the same theme still get different books, and every picture is drawn fresh for theirs.
How personal can it get?
As personal as you like: their name and age, what they’re like (brave, silly, curious, kind), the things they love, a pet, best friend or family member to join the adventure, a theme from our list or an idea of your own, one of six art styles, and a message from you on the opening page.
Will it look like them?
Add a photo and they’re drawn to look like them on every page, in the art style you choose. Rather not share a photo? Describe them in a few words, like curly red hair or round glasses, and we draw them from that. A photo is only used to draw the illustrations and is never stored.
Will my book look like the one in the photos?
No, and that’s the point. The photos show Theo and the Little Lost Reindeer, a book made for another child. Yours gets its own title, its own story and its own pictures.
Is the story right for their age?
Yes. The words, the length and the kind of story change with the age you choose, from a gentle read-aloud for a newborn to a proper adventure for a 12 year old.
Can I see it before I pay, and change things?
Yes. You see the cover and 3 full spreads free before you pay. Once you order, every page unlocks: tweak any of the words for free and have any picture redrawn that isn’t quite right. Nothing is printed until you approve it.
Does it make a good gift if they’re not my child?
It’s a favourite with grandparents, aunts, uncles and godparents. Add a message from you on the opening page and have it posted straight to them, or send it as a gift and the family fills in the details themselves.
How long does delivery take?
Printed books arrive in the US in about 5–7 business days after you approve the finished book. The digital copy is ready straight away.
